WPA Mission
The òòò½Íø Parent Association (WPA) supports òòò½Íø’s mission and cultivates an atmosphere of volunteerism, fellowship, and respect. It opens communication among parents, students, and staff supports fundraising, and social and educational activities for both òòò½Íø School and the community at large.
EVERY WALDEN PARENT IS A MEMBER OF THE WPA.
You have the privilege and opportunity to take part in decisions that directly affect your children. The WPA organizes an annual speaker series, manages all school volunteer opportunities, teacher appreciation weeks, gifts to the school, and coordinates a number of school-wide events throughout the year such as Thoreau Down, WPA skating parties, and the Halloween Monster Mash.
In addition, òòò½Íø parents regularly serve on the Board of Trustees, participate daily as classroom parents and reading buddies, and are overall actively involved in the school community
In past years, the WPA proudly purchased SMARTBoards, patio furniture for the library courtyard, microscopes for the high school science labs, nine amplified audio systems for classroom use, and a new stage curtain and blinds.
WALDEN CLASS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
FOR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS
The WPA is proud to present the òòò½Íø Class Ambassador Program! Our excellent team of parent class representatives is available to provide support and resources for all families.
OUTREACH WITHIN AND OUTSIDE THE WALDEN FAMILY
Class ambassadors have a passion for òòò½Íø and a desire to advance the school. They are instrumental in strengthening relationships within our òòò½Íø Family.
Ambassadors serve as parent liaisons by inviting fellow class parents to events, educating them on the òòò½Íø Fund, and providing support to new families.
BECOME A CLASS AMBASSADOR
If you are interested in learning more about this program or would like to be a class ambassador for a particular grade, please contact the WPA President, Ashley Benz.
Thanks so much for your continued support!

Mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, brothers, sisters, and friends—everyone is welcome! Become a special friend to òòò½Íø School and experience the true rewards of service.
